Portrait Photographer Jason embracing his dog

Jason

Hi, I’m Jason. I grew up on acreage in Kurrajong and have loved photography from an early age.  Families, kids, horses, dogs, cats everywhere all gave me opportunities to experiment and develop my craft.

After many friends asked us to photograph their weddings and families, Traccey and I thought, let’s make this a business, and so we established Natural Focus Photography in 2003. Nearly 20 years and many photoshoots later we still love what we do.

I love the challenge of relaxing everyone – including over-excited kids and dogs – and gently putting some order into the chaos to artistically create the images that I know they will love to display in their home forever.

And we never get tired of the gorgeous natural environment here in the Hawkesbury. Every season brings a different look & feel so that each photo session has its own uniqueness.

Tracey

Hi, I’m Tracey. After 19 years managing our Hawkesbury studio I can honestly say the most enjoyable part of our photography business is seeing the joy our clients’ experience when they see their images.

I’m a ‘people person’ and love to get to know each client and help them choose images to suit their time of life and their home. For many clients, we’ve photographed them throughout the stages of life – weddings, babies, young children, then teenagers… and even grandchildren.

Jason and I have two children Beth (27) & Josh (23), so we know how quickly time flies by, and the importance of capturing those special moments to treasure forever.

Beth

Hi, I’m Beth. I’ve inherited my dad’s passion for photography and my mum’s outgoing nature… so I can chat and capture amazing images at the same time 🙂

I’ve been a budding photographer since the age of ten when you would find me shadowing dad on many a photoshoot, however, it wasn’t until I was asked to photograph a birth that my passion for photography was ignited!

The privilege of capturing intimate, joyous, life-affirming moments remind me of the preciousness of life, and that we need to savour those moments.

It’s my great privilege to photograph the concentration of labour, the power of birth, and the joy of holding your newborn baby.

Our Approach

Natural Focus Photography has captured precious memories for nearly 20 years. Families throughout the Hawkesbury, Nepean Valley, and Blue Mountains have trusted us photograph their precious moments to treasure forever.

Our photographer Jason has a unique gift. Using soft natural light combined with the beauty of nature, he creates outdoor family & pet portrait photography you’ll love to display in your home.

All our sessions take place an hour before sunset to take advantage of the warm light that has become such a feature of Jason’s style. We work quickly to capture the unique essence of your family.

Tracey’s friendly approach makes the process of booking your session, viewing your images and organising your finished product a simple and pleasurable experience.

Testimonials

Family Photography in the Hawkesbury area

“Jason made the photo session a fun experience for our family and made the kids (and us) feel very comfortable.

Jason took so many photos we loved, the hardest part was choosing what photos to order.

The overall experience was 10/10!”

Shane & Elyce

“We thought it would be chaotic with a 9 month old and two dogs but the photos turned out beautifully.

Thank you so much for capturing such amazing photos of our family”.

Outdoor Family Photos in the Hawkesbury

“The photos were amazing!!!

I still don’t know how they did it but this shows how much experience is behind Natural Focus, and how professional they were on the day. We will definitely be going back for more photos as our family continues to grow”.
