I started shadowing Dad on photoshoots when I was just ten years old, but it wasn’t until I was asked to photograph a birth that my own passion for photography truly ignited.

Since then, my love for capturing the journey into motherhood has grown into so much more than birth photography. From the beauty of pregnancy and the anticipation of meeting your little one, to those early newborn days and the beautiful chaos of family life, I feel incredibly lucky to document these special chapters for so many families.

Whether I’m capturing the strength and emotion of birth, the connection between a mum and her growing baby, or those tiny newborn details you wish you could bottle up forever, my goal is always the same: to create meaningful images that allow you to relive these moments for years to come.

You’ll often find me capturing newborns, maternity sessions and families at our beautiful property in Wilberforce, NSW and sometimes im running off in the middle of the night to a birth!

I’m passionate about creating a relaxed, welcoming experience where you can be yourself, feel comfortable in front of the camera and enjoy the moment, knowing I’m there to capture the magic as it unfolds.

After 22 years I can honestly say the most enjoyable part of our photography business is seeing the joy our clients’ experience when they see their images for the first time.

I’m a ‘people person’ and love to get to know each client and help them choose images to suit their time of life and their home. For many clients, we’ve photographed them throughout the stages of life – birth, maternity, babies, young children, then teenagers… and even grandchildren.

Jason and I have two children Beth (32) & Josh (29), so we know how quickly time flies by!

Tracey - your main point of contact

I grew up on an acreage in Kurrajong, loving photography from an early age. Families, kids, horses, dogs, cats everywhere gave me opportunities to experiment.

Working as a press photographer for the local Hawkesbury Gazette Tracey & I established Natural Focus Photography in 2003. Over 20 years and many photoshoots later we still love what we do.

I love the challenge of relaxing everyone – including over-excited kids and dogs. Gently putting some order into the chaos to artistically create the images families love.

I never get tired of the gorgeous natural environment here in the Hawkesbury. Every season brings a different look & feel so that each photo session has its own uniqueness.
